    Hi,
    Seems that I have the same problems as others, days trying to get adb to load, tried many options and instructions from the web, tried android studio to, no go.
    Next tried downloading android sdk manager, ended getting release r16 sdk manager, as it was the only one with sdk download manager, nothing else worked, and niether did this,
    Something that should be easy to do, has been extremely difficult, lots of hours and no progress.
    Many of the explanations fail to give precise instructions, when to plug in the phone to usb, when not to, a mishmass of conflicting information, an no answer to the problem, numerous programs that claim to do it all, most can only be described as laughable, because they DO NOT WORK.
    If there should be anyone who can advise an EASY way to do this, let me know as I think I`ve tried nearly everything, other than one surgestion, format the hard disk do a clean install of windows, then start again, HaHaHaHa

    Hello and thanks for all the advice and help offered here.
    I have an UMIDIGI S2 Pro, and I tried everything for the S2, but it cannot connect to the PC. Still getting errors. Do I have the correct drivers? Will the S2 drivers work for the Pro version?
    In device manager, the S2 Pro appears, but has an Exclamation point against it and states:-

    “Windows cannot start this device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)”

    Any advice? Thanks in advance.

    Michael.

      Hi, Uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers for the device is a likely solution to a Code 10 error.

    This procedure may operate on windows 7 but on windows XP on leaving the USB debugging on ADB interface will never install as per your directions nor MTP drivers too.. The final message will state the hardware not installed as the wizard cannot find the information. This reiterate whenever the drivers are pointed to the necessary or if pointing the needful inf files. Perhaps in windows 7 they may be installed

    kindly provide directions for win xp or provide appropriate drivers for the OS version.

    I can’t attach photos, but my phone is an:
    OPPO R9s. ;
    Model CPH1607 ;
    android ver. 6.0.1 ; ;
    Build version CPH1607AU_11_A_14_170521
    baseland version Q_V1_P14,Q_V1_P124

    From ‘Device Manager” I get down to “Show all Devices”, Click Next.

    The next screen has in the left hand window, (Manufacturer), I select OPPO, Inc

    In the RH screen I select “Android ADB Interface”. and “NEXT”.

    window, “Microsoft WPD Enhanced Storage Password Driver”

    It seems to be installing something, but when I reboot it just comes up with a setup.exe file. I run this

    It doesn’t say anything like , “Hardware to Install : Android ADB interface.”

    It comes up with “Hardware to Install; Android ADB Interface”. Then “NEXT”

    It comes up with a screen saying the following hardware was installed, :”Android ADB Interface”
    but also “This device cannot start (Code 10)..”
    Click “FINISH”.

    Under Device Manager, The android ADB Interface has a yellow ! against it, which means it isn’t working.
    I reboot and am directed to run a setup.exe file, but still the mobile is not recognized by the PC. It is connected via USB port which recognized other devices.

    Have I not finished the installation???

    Thankyou
    Barry

    I agree with Phil. I won’t be buying a 4th Wiko because this is going backwards. No “Add Legacy Hardware”, can’t connect phone to PC. This should be built-in & automatic. Waste of precious time.

    Hi there.

    I followed your steps, i got (code10) too at the endscreen, but it still doesn’t work,
    I former had an alcatell pop 4 which was at the beginning difficult to handle with ADB too, but serveral laptop restarts helped out.
    But for my Archos 50B Cobalt it did not helped. I used your Archos 50 Cobalt driver.
    I need ADB for Apps like Droidcam and MyPhoneExplorer.

    Any Ideas?
